Bracelet Scratch Repair

As a brand new user I hope I'm posting in the right place. I own one of the Kermit's and have a few surface scratches (relatively light) on the brushed oyster bracelet. I was curious if anyone had any tricks for removing them or is the best advice just to live with it until it goes in for service?

It is possible to polish it on your own with a cape cod cloth, masking tape and really really careful hands. But if I were you dont even try it, no one knows how to polish a rolex better then rolex. Plus even if you do manage to get a few scratches out theyll just come back the next day and now you have even less material, I'd say wait.

I'd concur. Minor scratches are inevitable. Enjoy your watch for 5 years then send it in and get a virtually brand new watch back.

BTW, Cape Cod is only good for polished links. For the matte finish, I would say enjoy it then have it serviced later.

Thanks very much to all for the useful information. That "just like Kermit" comment gave me a chuckle!

Hi I am by no means an expert but I had the same problems on an Omega clasp. I purchase a bergeon 2834c which is a scratch brush with a pen like appearance. This if used lightly and with patience and care works very well. These are available from all watchmaker suppliy sellers. I hope this helps some. I am very fussy about my watches and was delighted with the result.
