Anyone using a BLNR as daily watch? hows the PCLs? thanks.

I probably wore mine 5 days out of the week for about a year. I would say the PCLs look decent. If you shine light on it and stare at it, it's going to have the micro scratches. But it's not something that looks bad.

It can definitely be worn as an every day watch. I sometimes go a couple of weeks without rotating to another and wear it with everything. The PCL's will pick up hairline scratches for sure but they don't make the watch look bad. When I bought mine I thought I would much prefer the BCL over the PCL but actually I really love them both and am very happy to have both.

The BLNR can absolutely be used as a daily watch. One of the most well-rounded SS Rolex sport watches currently available. The. PCL's don't bother me a bit. They are bound to show scratches, but over time, you will get used to them.

When I had the 116710LN I wore it all the time and it held up, however it does show wear but it is a watch meant to be worn

Yes sir - the SubC bracelet fits perfectly! You just need to use the springbars from the GMT - the bracelet will run you about US$2,500 brand new, maybe 2k used.

I did the exact same as this genius gentleman a year ago. The PCL's didn't quite grow on me as I thought they would.

I love pcl. In fact hulk is my only rolex without pcl. Blnr is great for daily watch and it look amazing with shirt or t shirt

It actually depends on how you wear it.
I have mine hidden in the cuffs of my shirts most days;
At the desk there's a cushion for the wrist where it would normally hit the table.

But as daily watch it also depends on the environment you are at daily.
Office desk? Outdoor?

If one is careful the PCLs would probably get tiny hairlines if not probably some more visible scratches.

But refer to Toms battle hardened thread for a heavy used example of PCL bracelet.

Or you can have your bracelet brushed which is much cheaper and accomplishes exactly the same thing. I did this 2 years ago and love the look of it (on the all black model).

I love the pcls, it a selling point for me. At first the swirls and scratches may be "dramatic" but after a few months they all blend in.
My coworker has one he wears everywhere and on his wrist I cannot notice one scratch or swirl but if I took it off to inspect with a loupe, then yeah, it may drive you crazy.
To be fair though, the same can be said for brushed bracelets, one scratch on the finely brushed surfaced and it's like a horror movie, six months later it's unnoticeable.

I have been using my BLNR for 2 months.
The PCLs have zero scratches, even hairlines. Absolutely no trace of wear.

Interestingly, my sub bracelet has many desk diving marks (I work in front of a computer all day).
Maybe the PCL make the wearer more careful?

I feel that there is way too much drama about PCLs going on. So what if there is something a bit shiny on my wrist?
I also don't feel that the world is coming to an end if there is a scratch or two on shiny part.

A great daily wearer, particularly if you travel a lot. It's comfortable and works with just about any clothing from casual to a suit.

Personally for me, I wouldn't. PCLs are too dressy for me with certain things. For example I really love my leather jacket and it's got a bit of a faded vintage look and I put my DJII on with it a few days ago. It just looked strange in the mirror and I couldn't wear it because of the PCLs. If it was an OP 39, I know I would of been fine.

It's certainly not the best daily Rolex for me. Subc date/no date, Explorer I and maybe even the Explorer II beat it imho. Also if you're going to get into smaller models. The OP36 is better. OP 39 would be a better one too but it's a few months before those become available. These work because for me, brushed bracelets can be dressed up much better than PCLs can be dressed down.

Something tells me that as you're asking the question, maybe you feel the same. Saying that, why should that stop you? If you really like the watch then buy it. If one day you're wearing something and you think it doesn't look right then don't wear it for a day. These watches are going to last our whole lives. We can miss a day or two a week and still get a good use out of them.

It's a great daily wearer. I got mine recently and was also worried about the PCL's. Now I think I am actually a fan of the PCL's. It's nice to have a different look from the brushed bracelets. Of course it will scratch, but nobody will notice the scratches besides you.

I wear mine daily and the PCLs look great. I do take care to not 'desk dive' with the watch on, etc.. I took the same precautions with my SubC. All you really have to watch is the clasp with routine wear. The PCLs and the blue on the bezel are just sublime.
