Advice for next Rolex

Hi All,

I am finding it difficult to choose my next a Rolex. My perfect watch is a Sub C and I have the date version already. I prefer the brushed bracelet and the overall tool look of the watch.

The options I have been looking at are as follows
1. Explorer 1 (39 Mm)
2. Sub C non-date
3. Sea Dweller 4000
4. GMT BLNR

I have thin wrists (6.5") so I am unsure if the Sea Dweller will look OK. I do like the GMT but not sure how I can get on everyday with the PCLs and the brightness of the watch.

The Sub C is a good bet but I do have a date version. The Explorer 1 looks a nice classic watch with brushed bracelet and Matt dial but I would like to get some views.

If anyone can share their experiences and advice it will be greatly appreciated,

Many thanks

Go try on the BLNR. It's an amazing watch. If you like the SubC you will like the BLNR. Personally I didn't think I would like PCLs but I love them now. Yes they scratch, but you only notice it up close.

I think the EXP would give you the most variety from the subc...if that's what you're after.

Explorer for some variety. If you already have a Subc, all your other options look way too similar to it. Have you thought about a Daytona?

If it were me I would forget about the 114060 and SD 4000 and then of the other two I would go with the BLNR. It's a stunning watch.

Get the BLNR and source a 97200 bracelet from a Sub C....worked for me!! IMHO this should be a factory option!

I'd go BLNR. The PCLs really grow on you. If a sharp contrast is what you seek, go with the Explorer.

I'm a Sub guy... recommend the same to all who ask - why? All around sports watch that meets needs for all occasions! Good luck!

Thanks everyone for all the replies!

Just wanted to check if anyone has had experience of the SD4000 with thin wrists? Also, is this a comfortable watch for daily wear?

My perfect watch is the sub C date but this SD4000 hits a lot of notes!

Thanks in anticipation!

I also started with the subc and recently added the sd4000, its a great watch! Diffrent enough from the subc to justify both. I also have small 6.75 in wrists and the sd4000 wears smaller on the wrist. I'd go with the sd4000.

My advice is number 4, GMT BLNR.

If you already have a Sub C, I'd eliminate the no date and SD. BLNR would be a nice option but that's going to have polished center links, seems like from your post you like the brushed braclet.

Another nice option to contrast the Sub C in function and color might be a Polar Exp 2.

Good luck
