Understated Cool
After having a discussion with someone recently on another post about great understated watches I thought I would open the question up.
I saw saying one of the things I loved about my Tudor Snowflake is that in general it is invisible to people unless they know what it is, but has the familiarity/DNA of a sub (plus Rolex detailing like engraved case and crown) and the awesomeness that comes with a true tool watch. Would love to hear what people consider to be their ultimate 'understated cool' watch. |

For me, the most understated yet cool watch is the 14270. But I am too scared to buy it, afraid that I won't wear anything else
Love the vintage Tudor subs though. Anything with the snowflake or the Rose Tudor symbol. |

Love the strap, always buy 1-2mm narrower than lug width. Bravo!

Understated Cool
Quote:
he is just going for that JB look. i dont think it was meant on purpose in the movie but some people now emulate the look for full effect. ultimate hipster cool. dont think id do it, though have considered it.

I am also guilty of getting a 20mm strap for my Planet Ocean (22mm) and it is cool for a few minutes than I get annoyed with the look... |

A style. Looks like the JB strap is more like 16mm. |

I tend to agree with the vintage Tudor vibe.
Ever since I finished my Tudor Sub project I haven't been able to wear my Sea Dweller for more than a few hours before putting back on the Tudor. Love the vintage patina and how it floats by under the radar. Beautiful Snowflake btw, love the blue dial ones! |
