Report: 12 days with the black bezel
the watch itself is hurting, its a whole 15 seconds fast
I have not really worn another watch in my arsenal since putting on the black bezel (save for the explorer for a couple of hours on Thursday, and the TT DJ for Chinese New years Dinner) At first I was concerned about having another black bezeled watch since I have an SD as well, but there is a night and day difference between the 2. I love the stealth of the black bezel and yet the somewhat busy bezel (when compared to the SD) doesnt scream out "hey look at me" like some other brands that I wont mention. All in all I have to say I made a good choice with buying all the bezels, it gives me a chance to see which one I like best by actually living with them for a while instead of just trying it on for 5 mins at the AD. So for now nothing has really changed, love the Red/Black and the black is definately a winner with its subdate-like appearance but with a GMT feature. The pepsi gets a BIG...no make that a HUGE from me as I feel its the one to choose if you want to show off or get noticed. I may feel differently about this if I didnt wear it daily for 3+ weeks and saved it for strictly casual settings, but thats not what I like in a watch. My TT DJ never got the looks my GMT2 got with pepsi, and I often wear the DJ with Jeans and t-shirts. |

I like them all, however, the Pepsi is my favorite.
I like the color involved with the pepsi, not to be flashy but, just to have some color. I don't have to dress up so, most of the time I wear levis and casual clothes. With my Pepsi GMT Master, 16613 Blue TT Sub and 16610 LV Green Sub, I have a little color. Best, The President Last edited by President Rolex; 1 February 2006 at 07:31 PM.. |

I hope I didnt offend you or anyone when I made the comment about the pepsi being to showoff. I guess I just felt uncomfortable with it on, again it could very well be that for that month I had it one I didnt really switch my watches around that much as I wanted to get a feel for the pepsi. Now that green sub in your avatar is really getting to me. Do I want one? My heart says yes, my wallet says no The big purchase of the year (when I am ready) will be the 116520 |

Dude,
No offense taken at all. Didn't think your post was bad at all. I have so many things that are black, that I am starting to like color for things. But then we have a custom home that has a design which includes five different colors on the exterior. This is a Mid-century Modern and the architecture can pull it off. I guess I just like color. Best wishes, The President |

Since you have so many nice models, I think you should do a review and compare the 3(or more). Or even just to give the TT Sub a nice review. It seems there isnt much love for TT models these days I personally love the TT Sub

How are the dials changed? Is the bezel removed? Is this something you can do your self?
The reason I am asking is I have the GMT Black on order, I am really thinkinig about going with the Red/Balck instead, but down the road, if I am not happy, going bacl to the Black. Thanks, Richard |

Richard, JJ's right. Do not try this at home. But if you are really adventurous and are not concerned about possible consequences, you can search through the forum threads to find a thread that will direct you to step by step instructions on how to change the bezel.
But consider yourself warned. This is not a job for amateurs.

I will not do it myself, I was just curious.
Thanks, Richard |
