Skydweller - my new favorite watch
Yesterday on the plane I sat next to a guy with a yellow gold Skydweller with leather band. My BLNR looked like a toy watch.

It is definitely a substantial hunk of precious metal...and some of the new dial choices are just so yummy.

I think seeing these gold pieces in person makes a huge difference. I recently saw a guy with gold YM2 in Las Vegas... I thought it was a very substantial and good looking watch. I didn't get that same feeling looking at it in the photos. Yellow gold Sky D is also a sick watch in person.

Seeing a gold piece IRL is so much more different than pics. I love gold more than steel now.

I completely understand the desirability of that luscious 42 mm hunk of PM on the wrist. But as an economic alternative you could solve your desire of a large watch with something non-Rolex and less expensive and have your BLNR be the trophy watch.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have large watches, and I do not consider 42mm large... but the SkyD glistened like a fine Baccarat crystal... in an elegant but not blingy way.

One issue is that it is probably a bit too dressy and not as versatile as the sub/gmt.

For what it's worth, if I was given a choice between the BLNR or any sky dweller and I could not sell or trade it I would pick the BLNR. I like SS models the best. Be happy you have a awesome watch, hardly a toy.

I tried on the leather strap on and although I have a big but not a huge wrist, could barely close it. Once I did, I felt like leaving it on despite the circulatory issue that ensued. That said, the sky-d on a bracelet is my pick for mas macho. Outstanding.

Beautiful watch, just don't see the appeal though.

I say this very watch is my grail Ref 326938 but I am not that kind of person who buys both Sumnariner and Deep sea
At this joint,I have DJ II with slate dial two tone and although this SK Y DWELLER sits in the league of Champions, I say don't buy two similar watches keep all different as it is today What an impasse, thanks OP and contributors. I love seeing SKY DWELLER related content Happy Days

To my eye the dial is over-crowded and the hour makers at the bottom half being cut off bother me. It's a nice expensive looking reference. Not for me.

When that starts appealing to me I will replace the smooth bezel on my DJII with the WG fluted bezel and color me happy... : )
