Thoughts on white Ceramic Diver

I just wanted to know your thoughts on a white ceramic diver and would you buy it if you had the chance of getting it over a black or steel diver. These are the pics i got yesterday and a size comparison between my 5164. The watch does look pretty good on shorts in a Southern European country but i can't imagine someone wearing it everyday since it feels like a morning watch.

Obviously a very personal choice...I would not buy the white ceramic. As you suggested, it's probably not an everyday watch and I like to own watches that are more practical and usable.

Nothing against the white ceramic, it's just not for me.

Not for me, though I quite like a white strap on an SS watch like the Daytona for a summer change up.

A new strap feels like a new watch

Wouln't buy it but I like it. Also like the white ceramic 44 (a lot). Given the choice, I would always go with black unless I had a large collection.

I think Hang out on yachts in the Caribbean year round is the best excuse to get the white diver

Nonsense! I enjoy mine with a cranberry vodka or white wine spritzer on the Daily Paul! Fantastically versatile piece.

You definitely won't be alone buddy!

To be perfectly frank, AP did some of the best ceramic in the haute horology, black or white.

I'd definitely buy one if I had the kind of money to spare, but wouldn't buy it over the black version though.

Same here there's also a new white dial but the original black dial is the best.

Feels more like a woman's watch - like a Chanel or Gucci. If a man wore it, I would think it a g-shock from a distance.

I don't like it one bit.

Looks like a women's fashion watch or something a celebrity might wear.

Big no no

With the right skin tone and in the right environment, it could be a nice option. Tough to put it up against the black ceramic Diver, though, as that one is one of my favorites.

I think any black dial sets the standard for the diver.
