CELLINI Owners please!
I finally got a classic Cellini this afternoon. I've wanted one for so long. I've got the big "sport" Rolex so now it's time for a simple, refined and elegant timepiece. It's manual wind and I couldn't be happier! It's a 2001 model that came with original papers and box.
And it looks better on the wrist! I know the Cellini owners are the minority in here but if you have one please share your photos! Paul |

You may not get too much Cellini love here, but I like it. Very dressy and classy. Much like my Movado Sapphire, simple and sophisticated. Wear it in good health.

Congrats.
I prefer the work of others for dress models, but that does look good. You're happy with it and that all the really matters. All of these watches are fine pieces. We pole vault mouse turds around here sometimes. Really nice collection too. |

Thanks Bo and Brian!
Yes, the "Cellini is the Oyster's unwanted sibling" has been done to death. Rolex makes a decent dress watch and I unfortunately don't have Patek money lying around...Even if I did I'd just buy more Rolex watches! :) Paul |

To tell you the truth I've never looked closely at a Cellini before.
Very nice wrist shot of it there. I like it. If it's a Rolex, you know it is righteous. |

In my future...
Thanks so much for sharing this, Paul. You may have seen my Thread here from about a week ago where a Cellini shouted my name as loudly as such a piece might. Edged out by another (w/ which I could not be happier!); but I suspect there's one in my future still.
Any other details you'd care to share on the purchase? I'd love to read 'em. Sounds like you bought previously-owned. How did that go? Anything you can share on your search as it went, average pricing you found, et cetera? And, of course: Congratulations!

Stunning and classey watch. A definite plus to your collection. Never seen one before and i love it. So many people just have a host of sports watches which seem so conventional.
You've definately managed to convert me. What do you think of the new cellini range especially the PRINCE? |

Thanks everyone!
Dell- I purchased this from a local pre-owned dealer (Charlie at Watches Etc) who I've known for years. He's been selling and servicing high-end watches for decades. Over the past few months I've been "window shopping" his selection of Cellini watches and noticed that they are selling quickly. There are a couple that I wish I would've bought and when I saw this one it just screamed, "TAKE ME HOME!", so I did. I also got a barely worn watch with pristine box, papers and new polishing cloth at less than half of current retail with a one year warranty. To be honest, one of the factors in buying this was it's size and LIGHT weight. I love my big sports watches but occasionally I want something that is feather-weight on my small wrist. It's a nice change and goes nicely with pants and a nice shirt. It feels a bit more sophisticated. :) cr1ckett- I really do like the PRINCE, it seems to be one of the more popular sellers according to my local AD. Paul |
