What is the current DeepSea U.S. AD Price in 2015?
Has anyone visited their local AD recently for a price quote on a new DSSD in 2015, U.S.? What was your experience regarding proposed AD pricing, or possible discounts?
Bought mine on the TRF from a trusted seller, and bypassed wasting my time at local to me ADs based on poor past experiences (i.e. none would discount before on prior models, so why would now change course in 2015). I've read mixed reviews searching the forum for prior years…a few lucky folks received discounts, but the majority of ADs would not budge one inch on the DSSD. Curious as to others experiences and thanks for sharing! |

Current retail price for Deep Sea 116660 is $12,050.
I get 10% off because I am an established customer and have bought 3 other Rolex watches from the same AD. Certainly doesn't hurt to ask for a discount... |

Any knowledge on why the $12500 MSRP price is floating around on the web too? If I am in the area I am going to take off my DSSD, put it in my pocket, and stop in one of the ADs just for giggles.

Yes, but the question is what the retail price in the United States is not what did you pay. That price is what many of the trusted sellers here are offering, but I highly doubt an AD will offer a BNIB DSSD at that price in America.

1. The Black 116660 you can get for under $10.000
2. The Blue/Black commands a premium and is selling for around $13,000 + |

(here in the US) for less than $10,000. I bought one in Europe instead... for $8.365.... $12,300 retail...less a 20% discount...Less the VAT for export... and you will see how I paid $8365 |

Wouldn't really give it a lot of thought unless you like torturing yourself needlessly. There are deals out there, but when you go into an AD, you're pretty much going to take what they give you unless you're ready to explore other options, such as a trusted seller on TRF.

I bought mine for retail minus the tax from my local AD.
Best deal I could negotiate. |

US retail is $12,050 for the black dial DSSD, and the
D-Blue dial commemorating James Cameron's dive is $300.00 more. |
