Hi there subking. I ve own the 2014 elephant for couple of months and really enjoyed it. But after a while it seems to lose its lust on me. Reasons for being monotone. But it's indeed a gorgeous and elegant watch for both dress up and down. But now I ve gotten the 44mm ss on my wrist as we speak. And man I saying it does look much better due to the silvery mega tapiseree dial. And it does wear big. Elephant for classy look while the 44mm on the other hand is for causal sports watch

Probably the Elephant, love the grey dial. Prefer the old Safari and the 44mm is a little big on my 7 inch wrists.

I actually prefer the old Safari as well and none of the new 42's do much for me.

For your only watch... for everyday wearability, most say to go for a 42.
I find my 44 very comfortable and would wear it daily if it was my only watch. If this is one to add to the collection, 44 All. The. Way! 👍👍👍 |

Without question 44mm.
And Ken don't laugh, I know a member here who has just that--a "beater" 44mm RG (he takes it to Vegas and doesn't care it something happens to it) and a 'dress' 44mm RG. |

44 mm ss. if you want to go 42mm offshore go for the black panda (the nicest of all the 42mm 2014 novelties imo. the rose gold with leather strap would trump it but not suitable for daily wear)

thanks all for the help.
I agree with Neil and Ken preferring the older safari. I do prefer the colors of the older safari more than the newer one. I think the newer safari might have a bit too much brown on the dial when I saw it in person, like the sub dials hands, numbers etc.. Where's the older safari was more cream tones on the dial against the brown strap which I loved. Do any of you think if I already have a 44 offshore, another in a different metal might be overkill? I was leaning more towards the elephant, but like Johnnie Peh said, the color scheme of the elephant became monotone after awhile. The 44 steel dial does pop like crazy and I really love it. I just wonder would it be practical to add another to the collection? I'm starting to wonder if the size of the 44mm offshores will be timeless like the 42's, or just a trend at the moment? The 42 offshores fit so perfect on the wrist. They all have their pro's and con's I guess. Still so confused of which choice to make. |

I'd pick the Elephant, only because I have a 44mm FC. If I did not have my 44mm, I'd prolly choose the 44mm SS.

I'd go with the new safari of these three options. It works with everything and I too believe the grey one would lose its luster after some time. Not a fan of the steel novelty but the Ceramic with Anthracite is amazing! There are actually a few more headed to the States, was told to expect delivery on mine around end of July but these things can change. Boutiques are getting them first, that's for sure. Can't go wrong with whatever you choose!
