Since receiving my Sub ND, I have given serious thought to wearing the watch ALL the time. I have always wanted to do this with other watches I have owned, but have not been sure of their ability to with stand such abuse. Shower, sleep, yard work, everywhere...which leads me to ask. How many here NEVER take there Rolex off, unless an absolute neccessity like having it serviced, having an MRI, or the likes. I guess this would be best posed to those of us that own a single Rolex, like myself, as some of you lucky gents probably change out several times a day!

Also, how do you think this would effect the need for services? More frequent? If so by how much?

They're tough cookies, Kevin - I wear my TT DJ nearly EVERY day and it still, amazingly, looks like new.

Actually its 23 hrs 55 minutes but I didn't want you lot to know I'm a soap dodger

I've never actually measured it but unless there is a reason to take it off, I don't. For me, showering, sleeping and swimming aren't reasons for me to remove it.

Varies, if I am travelling then it is not off the wrist. 17 days at the last stretch.
If at home then only when sleeping or hard yard work as you call it.

Longest time I've worn a Rolex during a day was 21 hours at a busy day where I only got 3 hours of sleep (always take my watch off before sleeping).

I would hardly consider wearing your watch 24/7 abuse... Except for working on cars, I wore my first Rolex for 10 years straight. I probably have enough toes and fingers to count the times I took it off. I don't exalt my Rolexes, I just wear and enjoy 'em.

The longest I have ever had my SD off was a couple of minutes to clean it. I work, do yard work, PT, shoot approximately 500 rounds a week, sleep, shower, etc. with it on. I check the crown on a daily basis to make sure that it is firmly screwed in before getting it wet.

When I was younger sex was often and the watch was on the wrist for short periods of time. Now, I don' think I have taken my watch off in a couple of decades.

I'm on my 3th Rolex, 39 years in total (only one a time), and only off my wrist for sleeping.

I'm not sure but I would say maybe a month. I take it off to mountain bike and to clean it and that is just about it. I also took it off to clean out my gutters.

hmm.....maybe the question for me is the longest it's been off...

I had to take it off for one hour for a MRI....

other than that.....it's never been off...

I take mine off during work, and place it in the safe. I hate to admit it but I'm one of those guys who doesn't like to ding stuff around. It's part OCD, and part habit. I don't even like to put my fingers on a case, specially if it's freshly polished. Yikes! I think I do have OCD.

Several months, maybe close to a year. When all I had was the TT DJ, I wore it all the time. The only reason I would ever take it off was traveling out of country or a quick dip in jewelry cleaner.

I'm sure 6 months is not an exaggeration.

My wife doesn't like me to wear my Submariner Date to bed, so I take it off to sleep; were it not for her, I would wear it 24/7. As I've probably Posted here before, I take it off to do metal work, run a wood chipper, and the like. But it's seldom off my wrist, and I do not baby it.

I never wore a watch all the time, just to work, then it came off, now since I have my new SS Dj I wear it as much as i can, even to bed! I can't wear it to work, I work at QVC as a 3rd shift Supv in the Jewelry Dist Center, so no one can wear any jewelry

I wore my Sub for 32+ hours straight once while flying back to the US from Europe. My direct flight from Nice, France to Los Angeles was canceled, so I was rerouted as follows :

Nice, France --> Charles De Gaulle Airport (Paris) --> O'Hare (Chicago)--> Los Angeles. There were several hours between some flights.

Quite possibly ....years. I remember when i had my Sub no date, in the late 90s, i was working as a self employed agricultural contractor. In this period i doubt i took my watch off for any reason for several years..

I wear mine as a tool watch, wash, shower, eat sleep and work in them, thats what there for!

I put my Dweller on my wrist on the 23rd April '08 and it's only taken off for 1.5 hours a week to clean/polish my car.
