Thoughts re: the White Ceramic Diver

Hi All,

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I'm a longtime AP fan. I currently own a Rubberclad and a 15400. I want to add a diver.

The steel and the black ceramic are discussed here often. I was wondering if anyone here owns the white version?

I know people say it looks like a G-Shock. (I have a white G-Shock and wear it often). I thought it was good looking, but just OK until I saw it in person. Then I was smitten... The finish is amazing.

I welcome any thoughts or opinions. And any wrist shots would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Best wishes,
Dave

I agree, if you have other nice pieces and want a fun watch go for it, if not I would pass, I saw it in real and the finish is amazing, I was interested in the black, they didn't have it, if you like the white go for it, seems like a great watch

Sam brings about and interesting point. Would you not wear it in the fall and winter? I'm not sure it matters really although I agree it would fit in best with shorts and t shirt by the pool.

If you want it, act soon as I hear they discontinued it.

White ones are easy to find, black ones harder...

I meant if he was buying new from the boutique. I believe both can still be had from the boutique

There's a reason for that not much demand for the white.

I think it would be a great summer watch and round out your collection (although any of the divers would). Since you can rock the white G-shock, it would probably go a little under the radar. But I haven't seen one in person.

It does not matter what season you wear it, it's an year round watch to me, not just a summer watch.

Its cool however I prefer my ss diver as an all year watch. I don't believe the white diver could be worn with all attire as the SS can.

That's the best looking diver I've ever seen, love it on the bracelet! Also agree with APRolex, too much to spend on a summer watch

I think the white ceramic is beautiful if we dress all white. So it will match

Archangellight - would you only wear the black diver when wearing all black?

:)

Think you can pull it off all year round in some countries

Some thoughts after inspecting both the white and black ceramic Divers several times in real life... White ceramic Diver has great finishing but only visible close-up. Most of the time it looks like a muted block of white smooth plastic which is less exciting to me. On contrary, the superb brushed line finishing typical of a Royal Oak is readily visible on a black ceramic Diver under any lighting condition.

I saw it at the AP boutique... I'd rather get the ceramic model instead!
