Can a Rolex stand a licking and keep ticking? Your child and my daughter share the same passion; she has to rearrange her bed every night to make room for herself.

Sorry, that's the wrong watch. It should be an Explorer.

Also wearing gold will be frowned upon, it glistens in the sun and disturbs the animals.

No. Send it to me and I will take care of it for you at least till (or if) you get back.

Seems a strange question, Rolex watches can withstand being bounced around in an off road vehicle. I could understand your concerns if you intended getting out and wrestling the buggers to the ground.

I wore a Rolex in the Masi Mara and got away with it, although a rhino did offer me two grand for it, but the deal didn't proceed because the bracelet wouldn't go round his leg and he was scared of poachers stealing it.

I went to India in April and left the watch at home in a safe - customs, mugging, rogue elephants were no linger an issue.

Thank you. You are quite kind.
