Woops... incoming

These last 4 months have been especially bad for me, as I've just flipped my fourth watch during this period.. I was so sure that I was going to keep my Rolex Submariner 114060 that I just got last month for a loooooong time (which happened to be my first Rolex as well) especially with how perfect the watch was, but yesterday it just became my fourth watch that got flipped..

So, now I gotta wait patiently until tomorrow for the next incoming piece - which SHOULD stay in my collection for a long while.. crossing my fingers, as this bug has hit me pretty hard. Otherwise, my wedding in a couple of months may have to be held off lol

Anybody have any suggestions to cure the itch other than to buy and flip more?!?

Stay away from this and other watch sites, seems to be the only thing that does it for me.

Are you buying and selling used? If so, you probably aren't taking a beating on price.

If you are flipping new watches a few months after buying them, you should have your head examined.

Definitely not brand new.. I wouldn't be able to sustain this hobby for more than a day if I bought everything new

I've also considered staying away from sites like these to 'cure' the illness, but the force of habit is way too strong LOL

I absolutely am enjoying the watches.. I loved the ND Sub 114060, and still believe that it's pretty damn close to a perfect watch. I would have kept it if I was in the financial situation to do so, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Oh well!

Try on the watch before you buy it. Think about it. Repeat several more times. THEN buy.

Give yourself a cooling off period of three or four weeks after deciding that you really like a certain piece, and realise that many models tend to over-hyped here.

I think this will be my approach from now, after the BLNR gets in tomorrow.. Thank goodness for the pre owned Rolex market, and how stable the values are. Makes flipping so much easier to swallow..

Appreciate it, Mike!! Enjoyed reading your story about your hectic week last week and am glad for you that you did end up getting the SubC. :) It's awesome that it did work out for both of us after all!
