16700 Help

Im looking at my Father in-laws 16700. Is the bezel suppose to turn in both directions? There is no click /ratcheting when turned in either direction. I thought the newer GMTs had a one way bezel.

All GMT's turn in both directions. One direction only is a Diver watch requirement, not a dual time watch..

However, it should click. The 16700 introduced the 120 click bezel and sapphire crystal to the GMT Master line.

Double check because the previous 16750 did have the press to unlock friction bezel.

Yeah, it's c a clicker. The 16753 I have is press and turn, no clicks. Smooth as butter.

It turns both ways however no click. Sounds like it mayh need to be repaired. Any recommendations on a watchmaker in or near Arizona?

Take it to Robert Wesley in Old Town Scottsdale, they have a guy that comes by once a week and picks up watches that need slight repairs.

Are you certain on the model number?
GMT's are easily confused unless you recognise the dial etc.

Could be a late 16750??? they look similar and would explain no clicks.

I would say a trip to a watch maker or RSC to overcome the issue.

I paid Wesley Jewelers a visit this morning. Great Staff , Lyndell took care of me. My watch is with them for now. Their Rolex guy is on vacation for a week. After reading about Adolf on their site and speaking with Lyndell I'm confident my watch is in great hands.

After a few weeks of coming back from a full service its running a +/- 1 sec a day.Cant ask for better time keeping than that .My 16750 isn't that accurate but its close.
