Sell Rolex for AP
Thinking to sell my Rolex 16623 steel/gold yacht master(older model) and add $5-7k usd for AP 15400st black. Is it worth the upgrade?
I'm new to AP, never own one and recently fell in love with Royal Oak models Thx for your advise |

I'd vote for the upgrade unless you're really rough on your watches or need good WR ratings because the AP will scratch more easily and the WR rating will drop in half from 100m (Rolex) to 50m (AP).

I say it is worth it if you have another Rolex or beater to wear on rough days.
I recently got a PP 5711 that I was lusting for a very very long time. It would have been easier to flip my Rolex and pay the difference, however I knew I would need the Rolex as my beater on rough days, beach days, etc. The Genta designs are no soft watches, but they are not as sturdy as a sports model Rolex. Obviously they don't resist scratches as easy either. My two cents |

Have a few Rolexes and a few APs...it's a no brainer, IMO. AP is a much nicer piece.

Not really an "upgrade", but if you like it, why not?

The 15400 is so more amazing than any Rolex I've seen - so my vote is to go for it.

I guess only do it if the AP is not your daily watch.. Nothing beats a Rolex for that rolex.. But no doubting the AP much more special..

I am planning on using it as daily watch. I work in office and smart casual attire. Also own GMT2c and Nautilus 5726/1A so trying to find something to fit in between.

AP is a different league. Thus, upgrading to the classic 15400 is a wise move. Do it!

I just flipped my Daytona for a 15400 black. I couldn't be happier with the move, I definitely think it's an upgrade. Once I tried on the RO, the Daytona didn't have the same luster.
I really don't think it wears bigger than the SubC. It feels lighter, less thick, has a flatter case back (more comfortable), and the wider bracelet gives it a more balanced feel. Looking forward to your incoming! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
