Just filled up my tank for only the fourth time... in six months!

2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I was thinking about getting the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, but it was 15K more and got about 10MPG less, so am pretty happy with my decision.

It's nice not having the cost of fill ups isn't it! Congrats on your hybrid.

My daily driver is a VW PASSAT TDI. I can get 1400 km on 60 litre tank highway, about 1000 or so just knocking around

My 2008 Prius gets about 60 mpg in the city and about 50 on the highway. It's mostly on the battery in the city. Going 70 mph down the highway it's burning a lot more gas.

If I was smart, I'd drive it all the time. But the 7.3L turbo diesel in my F250 calls me away.

My 14.5mpg Suburban loves $2.70/gallon gas.......not so great when gas hits $4.00/gal but ok for now.

My Camry Hybrid gets 40mpg but cannot haul my boat and eight passengers!

I get 8mpg in my truck at $4.00/gallon. The vette on the other hand gets better when normally driving.

Still liking my Passat TDI...800 miles per tank, 43mpg, and diesel was less than gas on prior fill up.

Best highway mileage I've gotten is 37.9mpg on my A4.

To be fair you don't drive all that much, 2,700 miles in 6 months.
I test drove a prius when my Tahoe lease was up and fuel was $4/gallon. I pulled over half way through the test drive and let the salesman drive back to the dealer, just couldn't do it.
Just picked up a CLS400 a month ago and is a great mix for me. Been getting 27-28MPG's at 72-75mph and enough torque to get going if needed.

2700 miles is about . . . . 2 weeks for me . . . or even less

I do about 60 to 70 k miles a year so fuelwise the Prius would same me about 45 % on gas compared to my Beemer

Now I never drove a Prius and don't know how comfortable they are for driving these kind of miles ?

But moneywise they make sense !

I bought my Prius in late 2007 when diesel was about $5 a gallon, and I was driving 100 miles a day to work and back. It was paying for itself in fuel savings (including insurance) right up to the depression in 2009 when fuel prices dropped.

I have an older, more basic model. But, it's not bad to drive... at least compared to my F250 Super Duty. Both have about the same road noise and both seem to ride about the same. The Prius is a heck of a lot easier to park at the mall though. I guess whether you'd find it comfortable depends a lot on what you're accustomed to.

Car is good all-around? The Bride™ is thinking of one as she is do for some new wheels. One thing stopping her is no manual transmission!

Oh definitely, no complaints at all. A comfortable ride, quiet, enough pick up when you need it. All the systems are great, navigation, stereo, Sync. Not sure about the availablity of a manual though....

I am actually with you on the Prius, I test drove it and didn't like it either. I mean NO offense to all those TRFers that have them, they are great cars and more power to you

I just wanted something a little more... comfortable and powerful. It came down to two:

Lincoln MKZ hybrid, 35 to 40 MPG or the Ford Fusion hybrid, 40 to 45 MPG and about 12K cheaper for the same loadout (I got the titanium model, just about every accessory and add on available). In the end, I went with the Fusion. The Lincoln is a VERY NICE car, but other then being a bit quieter ride, I couldn't justify the difference in price and MPG. (At least not yet.. give me some time

). And you're right, I don't drive my car a lot. I just get a kick out of having a six month old car with only four tanks and 2,700 miles...

I have a 600 HP Camaro that only gets 19 MPG. I thank you for getting a hybrid as that leaves more gas for guys like me who like our horsepower and big trucks.

Power and fuel economy?? The Tesla ticks both of those boxes.

Take a look at the P85D. Range is around 250 miles and 0-60 in 3.1 seconds.

31 MPG means I took it easy on a Sunday drive and need to put the boot in.

But my average over 12000km is only 21 MPG.

Keep in mind we have bigger 'gallons'.

I think another reason you don't get as good milage is because you guys drive on the wrong side of the road...
