Calibre 3255
Does anyone have an idea when the new Calibre 3255 movement will make it into the Submariner/GMT? Would love to have the 72 hr reserve in a BLNR one day...

It wouldn't. The 3255 has a day and date complication. If the BLNR or Submariner received an upgraded movement it would be a variation of the 3186/3135.

3235 & 3286. That would be my guess. I don't expect Rolex to give warning. My guess is the innovations are great enough that we'll see these movements introduced at Basel in new pieces. On the other hand anyone know how the 3186 was introduced? Didn't it roll out stealthily at the end of the 5 digit explorer ii and gmt ii watch reigns? Rolex changes movements and movement configuration without any fanfare and has always done so.
They probably have millions of the current movements in warehouses and parts for the foreseeable future.. It is likely that the new movement configurations will eventually become the norm, and then they will upgrade those, and on and on....
