The Easy Link has 3 sets of slots for the pins to go in.

If the "pivotable" link is retracted while on the loosest of the 3 sets, would the bracelet be the same exact size as if the "pivotable" link were not retracted while on the middle (2nd) of the 3 sets?

I would say no. The distance between the pins on the 216570 measure 3mm (using calipers) and the easy link is supposed to be 5mm.

To clarify, which would be tighter then? Retracted while on the loosest or Not Retracted while on the middle?

Hi
The distance between holes / receseses in the clasp is exactly 3.33mm. This enables basic bracelet adjustment (without the easylink in use for a moment) in continuous steps of 3.33mm is by going through the holes / recesses from smallest to largest by and then adding another full link with the setting back on the smallest hole and so on. The Easy Link is exactly 5mm and the (so-called) half link if you needed one has a pin-pin pitch of 6mm.
Opened Easy link on the middle hole will be slightly looser than EL closed and bracely mounted on the outer hole. Tighter is EL closed & mounted on outer pivot , by 1.6mm or so.

It looks like when you pull the easy link back it lines up with the next smallest slot. So basically moving the easy link in tighter is the same as moving over one slot. If that helps any?

Thanks, I noticed that too, but oddly it feels tighter when it is not retracted while in the middle "hole" than when it is retracted while in the outer (loosest) "hole." It is such a marginal difference as noted above, and but the difference in feel also likely has to do with the wrist "expansion" due to the climate in the room or outside.

Hello everyone. I just have a quick question: I'm at the last hole with the Easy Link open. Is this less secure than let's say, adding a link and moving the spring bars to the innermost slot with the Easy Link closed? I feel paranoid with my current setting (last slot with EL open) on my GMT2-C.

This is no less secure than adding the link and moving the spring bars but, it would make sense for you to add a link, close the easylink and move the springbar to the smallest position. This setting would allow you to open Easylink if your wrist swells when it's hot... Just a thought.
