HELP for counter-offer, SS/18k 16613-Head Only
I need your help to make a counter-offer for a Rolex SS/18K Submariner 16613 "E" serial
without the bracelet. Price the dealer wants is $3,800.-NET What do YOU think..?? No box or papers. Great time keeping, top physical condition. Your help and expertise will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Anastasios |

Pass
Personally I would pass for that price just for the head, or knock them down to 3300-3500. Search the different fourms a bit, if you look I bet you will find a nice one with the bracelet (mind you a 18kt/SS bracelet in the same condition as that head wont be cheap, my guess is 800-1000 at least) and B+P. But then again, you could take it as it and throw it on a nato, it would be awesome and diffferent as not too many other people do that with there 18kt/SS watches. Just my $.02

You can find these w/ bracelet for under 5k. I wouldn't pay $3800. Maybe offer them $3200 and see if they bite?

See if they will lower the price a bit more, around $3,200 like colemanitis said, if not try $3,400, and so forth.
There are aftermarket oyster 18K TT bracelets out there, they run for $450 like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/MENS-18K-SS-OYST...742.m153.l1262 Though I love the 16613 w/the TT bracelet, this look is simply gorgeous: I'd say take the offer and buy either a nice strap like the one in the picture above and get a Rolex clasp from your local AD, or get a TT 18K bracelet, or better yet, get both. $3,800 is pretty good, just go to your local AD to have it checked for authenticity as there are many good fakes out there and I'd hate to see you pay $3,800 for a $200 watch. *BTW if you NEED a Rolex TT clasp try eBay or your local AD, I have no idea what's the cost, I got a SS clasp from my AD for $400.
