How desirable are they and how will they stand the test of time?
I've tried the 6 digit lineup and they were too modern for my tastes.
This is coming from a 25 year old who works in the tech industry.
Old guitars, old watches, old cars - there's something about them.
Should I have stuck with 6 digit refs to future proof myself?
Maybe in 10-20 years, they will hold the status of the 5 digits?

The thing is, the 6's have been such a departure from its predecessors.
The case, proportion, and feel are way too big of an "upgrade."

Appreciate your thoughts.

Oh, and one shouldn't pass up the opportunity to show the goods!

Those five digits have so many classics in them, I don't think they will ever drop in popularity.

5 digits will be classics. The late 80s into early 90s advertising was much better than today, the watches still had a vintage feel while being completely modern for their time. The 16710 and 16610, two of the best watches ever made

That 3572.50 is a six-digit!

Nice line-up. I only have one five-digit Rolex, but it's damned cool, and very comfortable.

I too definitely prefer the 5-digit references (well 4 digit too but don't really want to deal with inflated prices or the maintenance)

Very happy with the look and feel of my five and four digit Rolexes. Six digits can be good too as long as it feels right it's all good. Two of mine are six digits and the other five are four (1) and five digit ones.

5-digit? Oh no, they're too modern and you should try the 4-digit models. Trust me, they're THAT good!!!!!
