I finally found it!!

I can't tell you how excited I am that I finally found my first Rolex. I have been searching, for a few months, to find the DSSD D-Blue. Wow what a challenge that was.

So I'm in Vegas this week, and decided to shop around at a few watch shops (knowing they didn't have the D-Blue as I had called to check prior to my trip). So after hitting 4 of the 5 Rolex dealers, to no avail, I almost decided to stop looking. Well the wife encouraged me to go ahead and check the last one. So as I walk in, very down as I knew the answer to my question, I was greeted and asked what I was looking for in particular. My response was this, "im actually looking for a DSSD D-Blue, which I know you don't have, but I figured I'd check anyway". She says, "well what makes you think we don't have one? Cause we DO! It just came in a little bit ago". I can't tell you the excitement that was written all over my face. She was so happy for me.

It was a wonderful experience and I'm so happy with this watch. It's everything I wanted it to be. Just wanted to share the story with all of my fellow Rolex enthusiasts.

Congratulations. I think the D-blue is fantastic. I love how the dial colours bring that extra pop to a watch that didn't really do anything for me before this reference

Congrats!! It's always awesome when you've pretty well given up, only to be surprised when they actually have one... I recently experienced this also in Vegas with a ceramised Blancpain Bathyscaphe... Less than 40 made and the boutique had one buried in the safe somewhere (long sold out and sought after)..
