Gold Submariner Guys - Ever Regret Your Purchase?
I have two grails. Daily wear, and special occasion:
** Daily wear I have 1/2, a Rolex Submariner 16610. Watch 2 of 2 is a vintage Pepsi. I plan to acquire that within the next few years. Or maybe switch it up and just do BLNR (instead of the two). ** For special occasion (and sometimes daily wear), I want a Yellow Gold Sub. To the Gold Sub owners, do you ever regret purchasing the watch(s)? It is basically the cost of a brand new Toyota Corolla (in some cases more). Not trying to say it's not worth it, because obviously to me, it is. Just curious if you ever feel remorse, and in some cases grow disenchanted with it. Thanks in advance! |

I did not have an all gold sub, but I did have a two tone blue dial ceramic sub. IMHO it is not the best watch for special occasions as it is very sporty in my eyes.
I found myself wearing my SS Daytona with suits before the TT Sub. It is a great watch do not get me wrong, but I did not feel comfortable wearing it with a suit. I had no problem wearing it with jeans, or sport jacket etc. |

One of the best decisions I've ever made. It actually gets the most wrist time and I have 8 Rolexes. If you can afford it, DO IT!! You will NOT regret it.

Can't imagine anyone would have regrets with that beauty.
Awesome shot, my friend.

Gold sub 116618LB was my first PM model. Since sold it and moved on to other PM models. Never regretted owning any of my PM models.

Haha...the Smurf has been my daily wearer for the last 5 months. I did take the Hulk out of the safe for a recent trip to the beach, but other than that, I am finding the 116619LB to be the perfect daily "beater"
Thank you for the kind words...hard to believe the pic was taken with an iPhone 4S:)

I will have an 116618LB Sunburst like Neil's in the future. Will I regret it?, already can say heck no! One of the nicest timepieces on Earth.

No regrets, 116618 LN for five years now. Heck it's actually been an investment, bought for $19,500 and could sell easily now for four grand more. I've had stocks that tanked but not the Sub!

I absolutely adore this beauty. My only issue, I can not wear it everywhere. Still, I treasure every moment!
