Such a thing as Rolex Geneve Quartz?

Sticking my neck out here! A lady's watch, case size 20 mm, st/st bracelet. I am almost 100% convinced its a fake, it was picked up for almost nothing from a boot sale, so probably worth checking out as I'm not losing anything apart from a smidgeon of pride maybe...but at least the family silver is still safe lol. Another thing that made me home in on it was the fateful Rolex name...just in case..and the fact that Rolex did put out some quartz models for a bit. Please someone put me out of my misery one way or another and thanks even if as I'm almost certain, I wont be laughing all the way to the bank, but somehow I think the forum will be...

Bunny,
Rolex indeed made several quartz watches in keeping with the times and the market. It was approximately 1977 when The Swiss watch industry was under immense pressure from the Japanese mainly on price and perceived technology. In order to keep the interest of the general masses, in the early 70's Rolex began the development of the quartz watches and till this very day that have a small but very loyal following. Unfortunately, the watch you have is not the real thing however. Look up Rolex quartz on google and you will find lots of info.
