Pam00390?

it's been almost 5 years since I've sold my last Panerai. I'm thinking about making the move back to get a near daily Panerai...I have to say I miss the straps, miss the community and miss the design...Panerai makes me nostalgic as it was the community of Panerai that made me fall in love with watches

Anywho, any guys on here still wearing their 390 from 2011?? This is the one I think I will get..I love the versatility I can have with straps and the tobacco dial with that gorgeous lume...

Pics are welcome

I can't say I see many post on them anymore. I know I was considering one a while back and am happy with my decision to get the 111 instead. Great watch, though it has a lot of the same color on the dial for some. I appreciate some contrast on my watches.

Good luck whatever you choose!!

I think the 111/112 goes with more. I had a 390 and sold it. Only looks good on brown straps. Dial is a little "peachy" colored too, not a subtle brown like the 232. Ymmv.

i think the glow has worn off the 390, partly for the reasons stated above.

if i were shopping for a tobacco dial today, i'd start with the 232 and then consider the 118 or 55 (or 564 or 562 if i could make peace with the "8 DAYS" text on the dial).

thanks for the candid feedback. I will consider a 111 or 112..hmmm it's been years since I've been into panerai so I'm not hip to what is popular haha

There is nothing hip anymore. Panerai has changed. There is no paying over MSRP anymore it seems. Everyone is worried Panerai will just release the same or cooler model anytime. It is both good and bad. Good if you just want cool watches, but the secondary market is taking a hit.

If you really like the 390, get the 390.

Well your buying so the secondary market is your friend now. Take a look at the 590 also. 8 days with a cool dial and a nice strap also. Price has really come down on that one. 390 is nice to me also, its an se and looks like the price has taken its hit.

The 390 is awesome! It is my only Panerai and represents everything that is good about the brand.

390 is nice, but I would also be looking at a 111 (especially), or a 112 if I was happy with a Base.

i personally really like the looks of the 372 and 422 due to the shape of the case and the domed crystal. Gotta love the dome!!!
