Great looking watch and the TT's pretty good, too.

The SS GMT IIc turned out not to be for me, after all. Still it is a nice watch, and if you can live with the polished centre links and glossy bezel insert, I say go for it!

Hmmmmmm..........No More & Pricing data point

I succumbed to the TT GMT IIc's siren call last week. I had been searching for a replacement for the 1978 SD I recently gave to my son on his 30th birthday.

While I originally targeted a "pre-owned" TT SD, when I saw the TT GMT IIc and researched its features (read Irani's review ), I switched.

I then worked the market, AD and reputable Non-AD sources. I ended up at the AD which offered a 16% discount plus its own 2-year warranty extension on an M ser no. Furthermore, he worked with me to "optimize" GA's 7% sales tax. Thought you'd like a data point.

I should add that this AD had the largest inventory of Rolies I have ever seen. Furthermore, when I went in to get my bracelet sized, there in the display case was another TT GMTC IIc. I'm sure he was ready to deal but also sure he made a nice margin.

Ciao

Ed, The GMT IIc is the best of the new offering from Rolex IMHO. The maxi-dial and triplock crown among other things really put the reference over the top to me.

I am new to the forum and new to Rolex. I bought the GMT IIc a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it. I am anxiously looking forward to additional Rolex watches as I build out a small collection. Thanks for letting me hang out on this forum. I have enjoyed it. Best to all!
