Noob questions regarding Daydate 36mm hands lume
Dear all,
As a new member, I am trying to buy my first WG 36mm Daydate from a local AD (which is jeweller). I got a few questions that I already tried to search the forum but seems no specific answer. I am looking for one with diamond markers (rectangles at 6 & 9) model. However, what put me off is that I discovered that the hands on them are without lume. I was told by the staff that the WG DD with diamond markers never comes with lumed hands as the dial is not lumed. They also show me the rolex website (which I already know). However, I am quite sure, I did see a WG DD with diamond markers and lumed hands some time ago online (however, online ones sometimes cannot be trusted). I should be grateful if the expert members of this community could enlighten me. Please advise whether (i) all 36mm WG DD with diamond markers never comes with lumed hands? Or (ii) AD in fact can order a custom one with lumed hands? Or (iii) I could ask the local Rolex service center to swap the hands out after I purchase it? Your input is highly appreciated. |

Generally, if there is no lume on the dial there is no lume on the hands.. It would be pointless.
Rolex will not put lume hands on for you on a non-lume watch, you would have to find an independent to do the work.
