Swap BLNR for RO 15400?
I've been thinking of swapping my BLNR for a used 15400. The polished links on the BLNR are not my favorite, and an AP has always been a grail for me. Any thoughts or opinions?

If you feel that the BLNR doesn't do it for you, I say go for it. I recently swapped an Exp II towards and AP 15400. It's fair to say I haven't missed the Exp II.

Just a caution... The 15400 has its share of polished parts. It's not a watch that is "worry free" from scratches and swirls. That being said, it's a great swap and I highly recommend the 15400

the AP may appear just as polished as the BLNR due to its choice of polishing on the bracelet and angles.
have you been able to try on the 15400? both great choices, i would probably stick with the BLNR but that is mostly due to the better water resistance.

If I had to choose one or the other between BLNR and 15400, that would be a tough call (I'm thankful to have both). But if the AP 15400 has been a grail for you, then my two cents is, go for it.

I would, the finish on the AP is lovely, esp if you don't have a sunburst dial Rolex.

I would not, and this is a guy that has huge love for AP.
Would certainly not give up the BLNR for one though. If the BLNR actually does nothing for you anymore, then by all means do it. If the scratch prone PCLs is what bothers you about the BLNR, the RO gets marked by just looking at it. Ideally I would add one whenever I can. Good luck! |

I would also.
Is it a straight trade or you adding money?

Good point. I'd assume the OP has to add money.

Thanks everyone! I'll have to add a couple thousand $ but bonus season comes at year end so not too long of a wait.

I think it's a fine idea but be sure to try the 15400 on a few times if you have not already. It's also quite shiny in its own way. Thoroughly enjoyed mine while I had it though. Case and bracelet finishing is second to none.

I love my APs to look at....trouble is that's about all it takes to scratch them. They are beautiful watches, but oh so fragile compared to Rolex. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
