1.9 mil should be a Frogfoot, no?

No, Frogfoot dials were out about 10 years before 1.9M serials. Late 60's and early 70's for them, and 1.9M serials were late 70's.

1.9 serials are 60's. I have a 2.9m serial sub with caseback stamp of 1970.

Wide and stumpy coronet that looks like a frog's foot.

No it's fine, it shouldn't be a frogfoot dial and it isn't. Frogfoot dials came out about ten years before the one you're looking at did.

He has the serial listed as Serial No. 1,923,xxx, Cal 1570 which would be 1968, right? 1967 to early 70s had Frogfoot dials right? http://www.hqmilton.com/watches/rolex_explorer_1_1016 http://www.hqmilton.com/watches/1969...th_yellow_lume

@ chand8
The original dial has been replaced, at the very least. The serial number you listed dates the case to 1968, and that ain't the right dial for that era 1016. Are you sure you have the correct SN? |

Yes, the serial number is what is shown on Fellows auction website. Thanks for the advice.
