Cellini - Interesting.

I went to Rolex sponsored event at the local AD last night, Rolex USA was there and they had an amazing selection of watches. 1st time I've seen the new Cellini's in the flesh, I was impressed with how good they looked. They were much "fatter" than I expected. The rep from Rolex said they use the same movement as the Explorer I, modified for other complications on some of the (date/dual time). He said Rolex wanted to create a "dress" watch with would be robust enough to be worn everyday like any other Rolex.

I really like the Cellini Time with the 3132 movement. It is a very versatile dress watch given the screw down crown also gives it a perfectly acceptable water resistance.
I just wish there was a stainless steel model :( ...

I, too am a fan of the new line, although many on this Forum would choose a different brand. For me, the price is appropriate and the styling is amazing. The Cellini Time is my favourite of the bunch. Everose Gold, black dial and black strap.

If I am ever on the market for a dress watch under the $20K mark, this would be the one.

They are very beautiful and I could live with the case thickness....BUT they seem to hold value poorly and that's a deal breaker for me :(

Having said this, I just realized there are good deals to be had with older models.

I'll take a Patek for that kind of scratch.
