Black dials and brown leather ?

Now I know brown goes well with a white dial DJ ,SS or YG/SS and Omega and Zenith offer a black dialed watch with a brown leather strap which I like but I just don't see a Rolex black dialed model with a brown strap that looks very good ? Is it just me or are Rolex just meant to have a SS bracelet ? Could it be a chrono thing ?

Black and brown (more tan than dark brown) can work quite well together. Look at a Dobermann or a Rottweiler, nothing wrong there

For some reason a Speedy looks good on just about any strap including brown, may be the flat black dial.

This is a shot from a couple of years ago. I like the leather color to be a bit light. Definitely the Italian thing.

My Breitling Navitimer World is a black dial with Brown band- looks stunning. The only Navi that looks better is a White dial on Brown band- IMO.

Brown straps have been around for decades, as have been black dials - they're a natural together..

Now, brown shoes and a black suit.........

Black dial with tan/light brown, especially a distressed one for me looks lovely.

Rolex doesn't sell too many watches on straps so I think they look more natural on bracelets, imho.

Not a Rolex but you get it. Brown and black look great to me especially when it's a little more vintage looking.

Ostrich Explorer

My Explorer on a Tan 'RIOS 1931' strap - I think it works well.
I also had it on a Rolex Brown croc strap with Eturs end links, but I much preferred this classic look....

For me it depends on the watch, but like was said above the Speedy and some of the Pams work well as black with brown

I did put brown crocos on my black dial Breitling, but black straps pop a black dial best, even for Rolex.

I used to wear a brown one with black stitching with my Exp1.

Also wore a variety of straps with the BBR.
