First Time Rolex Owner Question on extras

Hello All

I am a first time owner and I was hoping to get your expert opinions on the paper work, tags, cards, etc.

Also I apologize in advance, I am not sure why the pics turned out so dark.

Was the AD supposed to write my name in with the date?

Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Nvm I found out that number on the slip cover was the box ref number.

First Time Rolex Owner Question on extras

Yes, technically they are supposed to write your name in.

That's some type of internal inventory #, nothing you'll probably ever need. Some of my 'outer outer' sleeves have this code and some don't.

Not all dealers write the purchasers name on the card. You can write it yourself or keep it open. Your watch, your choice. If you need to send it in for some reason under warranty, it could help to have your name there. As far as the number, it is the reference number for the box. Enjoy your sub. It's a classic.

Thank you for the info and the kind words. HK is a very dangerous place for a watch lover to visit. My wife was about ready to kill me when I started to look at an Omega Dark side of the moon while walking back from the Rolex AD. HaHa.

Name isn't necessary on the card. The five-year warranty follows the watch, not the purchaser/owner. Everything looks in order.

Some AD's have told me that they must write the name on the card per Rolex policy...however, I guess if they don't who's gonna care.

Personally, I would leave it open, just in case (never say never) you decide to sell it to try something else....might make it slightly more attractive to potential buyers.
