A Couple of Royal Oaks

Sorting out pics and thought these two might be worth posting. If you're still on the fence hopefully this will nudge you in the right direction!

my 15400 was too large for me but one day I will have another classic AP.

Hunt for older

Both of these are based on the 15300 case. I've got a 7 3/4" wrist but still prefer the smaller 15300 which I own. Worth looking for and then having AP service and clean it up for less than a new 15400.

Beautiful shots! Have a real soft spot for the 300 as it was the first real luxury watch I ever tried on. Did that 202 come in any other dial colour, I've seen a black dial once?

I've seen a 15202ST with a blue dial and that's very special and Boutique only watch.

I loved the 15202 in gold but I don't wear colored metal so my credit card was saved. It's really something though - feels very luxurious with the weight and all the clever detail finishing. In gold I've only ever seen it with this dial.

Yes, I've seen that 202 in YG and RG but only with white dial. If it was black or blue I would be so interested.

They could clarify immediately what was available.

Yes, but the current iteration of the 15202 in steel only comes with a blue dial.

Older iterations did come in black, blue and white. The black was more like anthracite.

Did the older RGs or YGs come in blue dial as well? Do you have a pic?

I'm torn between the 15300 and the 15400. Never tried on a 300 though.

Maybe someone here who lives close to you can let you try on their 15300. For me, even with a big wrist, the 15300 felt like a better fit. But everyone's wrist is different so worth trying it on just to see what to pursue.

The blue dial on the older 15300 look so different and nice. Thanks for posting them.

I had a chance to try on the RG Jumbo with blue dial. Against the RG, the blue looked almost black. Hopefully I will have a SS Jumbo soon.

Great shots!

I wish they would bring the 15400 back to 39mm.
