Glidelock Clasp for SDDS

Hello all, I'm new to this forum having just purchased my first Rolex. I purchased a new Sea-Dweller Deepsea D-Blue "James Cameron", beautiful watch, I'm thrilled.
I am going to purchase at least one leather strap, and I'd like to use it with a Glidelock clasp, and I am not going to remove the one on my bracelet. I've looked all over the Internet for a clasp with no luck, can I purchase one short of going through my AD?
Thanks

Yes. Just keep checking the classifieds. They are quite pricy though.
I am not sure if an AD will sell you just the clasp.
Congrats on the great watch.

congrats on the watch.

You should be able to find one. But it may take a little longer. If you cant wait then you'll just have to go through an AD.

Thanks for the replies, I'm in no great hurry, it'll be several weeks before I see the strap. I'll keep watching the classifieds until the strap arrives, if I can't find one, I'll check with my AD as a last resort.

ADs will not sell you one, it took me 6 months to get one off a Seadweller for $1400. Ridiculous price but I wanted one to put onto non-Glidelock bracelets.

That's not the same clasp that comes on a DSSD. They're different.

DSSD Bracelet

Yes, I added one to my Sub C date. The clasp on the DSSD is unique to that reference. The Sub C has the glide lock clasp. The SD4K has the same clasp with the dive extension. The DSSD clasp is another, more adjustable and expensive, animal. It was extremely difficult to source, but good luck. Here are a few pics...

That's awesome!
The DSSD Glidelock is way better than the Subc Glidelock

I'm pretty sure an AD will not sell just a clasp. Rolex is very tight with OEM parts. It's hard enough getting an extra link!

That's my experience with the clasp. I wanted a new 93150 clasp for the Sub I'm giving my son for his college graduation. The crown on the clasp is quite worn since it's a 23 year old watch. AD said Rolex insists on my buying a new bracelet even though the bracelet is in great shape.

As far as links go, I've never had any problem buying extra links. I have large wrists and needed to buy two extra links for both GMTs I owned and the Sub I'm giving to my son.

I contacted my AD this afternoon, and it didn't sound promising, should know tomorrow. If they can get one, it'll be very spendy, I guess I'll have to be patient and wait for one to appear in the classifieds.
Either way it's going to be expensive, but I'm so impressed with the comfort and adjustability, I want one for my leather strap.

Ritch99, it looks great on your Sub C, may I ask where you found yours?

I found it in the classifieds here in TRF. I waited for months and then a complete DSSD bracelet popped up, I bought it immediately. its the only one I have ever seen for sale. But you never know...

Interested to see how you would integrate into a leather strap. Has anyone else done this? Or any pics of something along those lines?
