Going to the big apple next week!
Going to the Big apple next week for vacation and I'm interested in either a subc no date or Tudor bbb. I really have wanted the subc ND ever since I've laid my eyes on it. I graduated last year from college and thought it would be a nice gift to myself that I could hold on to for a long time. I want to purchase it at a Torneau store but here are my questions.
- will I be able to get a discount from them? Even if it's just not paying sales tax? - has the Tudor BBB come out on leather strap yet? - smart/not smart to do their 24month 0% interest? - any other suggestions of watch stores to visit? |

As you're in Miami, I'd get it from one of our trusted sellers down there in FL. If you're asking about 24-month payments, you could probably use a healthy discount on full retail that Tourneau will likely charge you.

If you want the full AD experience....a quick word on the 24 month 0% Interest.....
Yep I would do that in a heartbeat....that's free money. Why take the entire amount from your account and give it to them when you can make interest free payments.....ust make sure your payments are on time, and you pay it off in 24 months.....Good Luck with your purchase....and if it were between the two, I'd go with the SubC 114060 all day long......you can always throw it on a Leather NATO Strap! Otherwise, you can find a quality piece from a trusted Seller on this site for a steep discount from the AD. |

I've never been able to get a discount in Manhattan. Buy from a seller here and have them ship the watch to your hotel. You can get it sized at Torneau in the city. Win win.

The Tourneau store in Newyork at 5th and Madison was talking about 24mos at zero and ten% off up to the amount of approval.. And I'm guessing they will ship.. Wempe will ship although zero discount. You really need to check out wempes at the Rolex building .. They have everything you could ever want to see and ask we quite nice and accommodating speak with Jules.. Seemed really friendly

Have them ship it to you for no tax and get at least a 10% discount for it. If they don't give it to you. Just buy it from a trusted seller on here. You'll find the best price on here.

Yeah, the problem with shipping tax free is there can't be a Torneau in that state :/ Florida has a few so I'm out of luck there!
I can't wait though!!!! NYC seems like the watch hub of the world!!! I will visit many places and drool over plenty of watches as well :) |

You can also buy from an AD in NJ and have them ship to you in NY or FL. I have an AD contact that may be able to offer you a discount. Pm me if you want the info.

Being a native New Yorker, I don't recommend buying in NYC. Makes no sense especially if you are talking about financing the purchase.
The Rolex Boutique on 5th (Wempe) gives zero discount and in addition you will pay NYS sales tax unless you work out an arrangement for them to deliver out of state. The only plus is that you get treated well; bottled water, espresso, champagne...not sure if that's worth it to you though. DavidSW is highly recommended everywhere (though I have never purchased from him). BNIB subs from him appear to be discounted around 10% though. You may be able to do better from an AD at that point. |

I don't really feel either way about financing a watch but I tend to view luxury items as things you pay for up front or don't. That's just me. As far as the watch, a Submariner is a great first choice. I owned the 114060 before I made some room for some other stuff. |

Tourneau will give discount if you don't finance the watch, I can put you in contact with a sales associate that sold me my BBB he is really good, and can get you the BB on strap. Also, the Diamond District on 47 street is a good place to find 2nd hand, also have a great contact that can get you pretty much whatever you want at good prices B on Time.

Just don't. Better deals to be had in Miami than NYC.
My advice, buy from a local AD and have it shipped to your hotel in NYC. Then wear it watch shopping. Be sure to hit cellini waldorf, als, Journe, wempe, AP., vacheron, breguet, tiffany Patek in that order lol |
