Incoming on the last day of year 2015

Dear friends,

I just received this 1803 white gold Matt black/blue dial from our member here. This purchase came at the right time in the last day of the year and for me to mark the end of year 2015. The 2015 is 'productive year' for me since I have bought nearly 10 watches this year alone if I am not wrong. Most of them are vintage pieces which I find it more attractive than the modern piece.

Here are some quick iPhone pictures to share with you guys. Hope you like them. The Rolex day date especially the vintage model is such classic and beautiful watch. it looks nice in the pictures and even look even better in person. Please post your vintage day date too if you have any.

I have joined TRF for almost 10 years now and have not actively participated in the forum until recently. I have learnt a lots about Rolex from all of you. The TRF is friendly place to make friend and learn about watches.

I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you happy 2016 and hope you all have healthier and safer year ahead!

Cheers.

The bracelet is tight consider its age.

I like the president bracelet on the day date. It is different feeling to wear it compare to other vintage Rolex. Having said that, I do enjoy wearing the old folded oyster bracelet a lots on the vintage, it feels extremely comfortable on wrist.

Cheers

Wow! That is a beautiful bracelet, in great condition -very little stretch and sharp crown on the clasp. Hard to find in that condition. You've done really well!!

I noticed that under the natural sunlight, the color of the white gold bracelet and case look slightly different. Whereby the white gold bracelet appeared yellow tinge and clothe oyster case appeared whiter color.

Anyone experience this with the vintage white gold Rolex? Mines is dated back to 60s. It is about 50 years old now :)

Thanks.

I noticed that too, but thought it might be the lighting, so didn't say anything.

Can you post pics of both sides of the opened clasp so we can see how it is stamped? That might help explain the difference.

This is the picture of the clasp. I can see the symbol of lady head, 750 and ROLEXSO.

It appeared warm yellow color under natural strong sun light, quite attractive in my opinion. Overall it looks good.

On my 6.75" wrist.

Thanks and hope you could find your birth year Matt black DJ soon. Do keep us posted! By the way, which year of DJ you are looking at? There are many DJ both vintage and modern around. I'm sure you will find one soon.
