I am getting that itch again, think I need an AP

Really want to add an AP into the collection. Have had a RO, 2 ROO and 2 44 Novelties in the past. For one reason or another I am without an AP at the moment. Gave one to one of my sons and traded or sold the others away.

Was thinking about a RO or the ROC. Wish the ROC had an inhouse movement or that would be a simple move. Still thinking of getting a black dial to offset my white Daytona.

Had a chance to see the black dial Rose on strap and WOW is that something. Haven't seen the white dial must be impressive too. Anyone have first hand experience/opinions on these two?

ROO - to me the black with red is far and away the best iteration.

Having never owned a Diver, that has my attention too. I see a lot of these being traded, why does it appear people tire of these?

Couple questions, anyone own a ROC and a Daytona, if so, does the Daytona ever see the light of day?I know in the past with a RO it recieved it's fair share of time.

Not sure where to go on this one but the hunt is often a lot of fun. Need to find which one is singing the loudest I suppose. Is there a must have AP? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I have owned the RG ROC and Diver. They both wear larger than a Daytona with a 42/3mm feel but the Diver is also very thick. As for the F Piguet movement it is stellar and tested and has given very few problems reported here, and as you had in house APs before and sold them I don't think that should now be a preclusion. The ROC, esp in RG to contrast against your SS Daytona is a great choice.

Thanks. And the RG brush finish on the APs are sublime as well of course.

Please stop posting such beautiful pictures. My bank account can't handle it.

Can't go wrong with that ROC!

Personally, I love the black dial on bracelet. My own grail (not all that relevant to you) is the RG 44 ROO.

Respectfully, if you have owned 5 in the past and they are all gone, what would you say the likelihood is that the next one is a keeper? Maybe money-wise you don't care and that's cool. I have found personally that if I get rid of a watch for a reason, buying it (or similar) again is a mistake. Three GMT2C's taught me that one.

That said, the AP Diver is cool. Wears big, quite chunky and heavy. A lot of wrist presence. Mine ran fast BNIB which was disappointing but fixable. If you are ok with a solid caseback you can pick up the earlier version at nearly 40-50% off current retail on the "new" model. Best of luck with your decision.

Thx, I like the jumbo a lot. For me it just seems too small and the bracelet 'delicate'. Different strokes for each of us.

RG 15202 blue dial. One of my all time favorite AP.

If you're such an AP fan than I'm assume you already made your mind and are going to get one. Make sure to take picture and post the incoming.
