Saving my GMT

I bought this GMT new in 1994. I wear it about 5 days a year, then it goes back on its pillow in its box and in the closet. I have had this watch for 22 years and love it, but have been "saving" it. I have been a saver all my life...
But now as I get older it dawned on me that the watch will outlast me. I had better get on with enjoying it.
The table over which the photo was taken is 400 years old....so I'm starting to realize this life is short, better enjoy what you've worked hard for...
Sorry I didn't know how to rotate the photo.

Wow, it looks brand new. But I think you're completely right in deciding to enjoy that watch. Life's too short.

Nice story - and totally agree.

I fell sorry for all the Rolex Box Queens in existence.

PS - would like to see a better pic of that 400 year old table.

What a beautiful watch! I agree that you should wear it more. Life is too short to drink bad coffee or wear cheap watches. Having said that, I confess to having a collection of 1930s duo-dials that I can't wear because they look ridiculous on me....

Great watch. Clint Eastwood would approve. Enjoy it. It's meant to be worn.

I've had the same thought pattern-- life is short, but recently my little infant has been kicking and pulling on my watches so the etas/breitlings and president may have to be "saved" for later...

Very nice. Like everyone else said, life is too short not to enjoy the nice things we buy for ourselves.

Beautiful watch, you should be wearing it daily or nearly daily!

Do you know the provenance of the 400 year old table?

The table belongs to our son who lives in Japan. We are keeping it for him until his return. My wife says the table was made in the 1700's according to our son. I thought older..

Sorry about the photo rotation.. :)
