Daytona Two Tone Bezel Variation?

Hi.
Did the two tone Daytona ever come with this bezel?
Notice that the numbers are not straight (horizontal), but instead they go around in a circular way...

I have only seeing this bezel on the all gold Daytonas, never on the two tones.

That makes me wonder if this is not an original one...

Does anybody know about it?

Thanks for the help. I'm buying it from a friend, but I'm a little worrried because of that.
He got it from a jewerly place, pre-owned, no papers, no box...

It never came from Rolex like that, but it could have had a yellow gold bezel from a full yellow gold Daytona on a strap installed. All yellow gold on a full bracelet has the other style bezel not this one.

Thanks for the reply.
Now, if I send it to Rolex for an overhaul...would that be ok with them? Or they would not touch it, because it's not the original that came with the watch.

Rolex does not return every watch to it's original condition.. Not sure why that myth persists..

If the bracelet is aftermarket they will not refinish or re-install it, but if the watch is authentic they will service it.

So, they would still service the watch?...and leave the bezel untouched?

This is such a confusing matter. Even with the Authorized Dealers, I always get a different answer.
Some say they would not service the watch at all, that they would send it back to you untouched; others say that they would send you back the watch, but without the "not original" part, that they would keep it; others say that they would service it, but would not touch the "not original" part....

I have only sent one once...and luckily the only not original part was a gasket that allways gets replaced with the overhaul, so I did not have any problems.

. . .
Don't talk to the Dealer, send it in yourself. Dealers are sales staff; most don't know the first thing about Rolex or the RSC.

From my own personal experience, they advised me that they will not even touch a watch that has any non Rolex parts on it.
If they are Rolex parts, from a different reference, that is not an issue.
As has been mentioned, contact Rolex directly.

Do you always send your watches to the RSC yourself? I think it's a great idea, by the way...

They wouldn't work on it without putting the bezel back to factory standard and charging you a fortune I'm afraid.

You're better off looking in the for sale threads orvevsy for a genuine replacement bezel (type 1) and then selling the one fitted on there now separately

That bezel appears to have come from a strap watch.
