PM heavy feel // wg sub vs Platona

I was picking up my 16570 from the AD today (quick service), and I decided to browse a bit. A while back I tried on the white gold submariner and today the Platona.
I have to say, I really like the look of the Platona but the white gold sub had a much heavier feel. This surprised me because I was under the impression that the Platinum would have been heavier.
Maybe I'm wrong because I did not feel them side by side...anyone know the weight of each watch.?

I owned a WG Daytona that I traded for a Platona. The Platona weighed much more. It is one of the heaviest Rolexes on the planet. Maybe the PT DD weighs as much.

Platona is the heaviest of all Rolex watches at 283grams

The WG sub is almost two ounces lighter

When picked up back to back the Platona is noticeably heavier

Yup you really have to weigh at the same time, I used to think my SS Subc was rather heavy until I tried on a gold one and it then felt like a toy.

That's awesome. I bet not too many people have a clue that you've got over half a pound of platinum on your wrist. :)

Hello Tom! Just curious, if you have the data available, what does the 116719 BLRO weigh?

That would be sweet, but might not be out for a while to give the Oysterflex a chance. This is also increasingly on my mind...

Very different feel in weight...WG Sub feels comfy, Platona felt a bit too heavy for me.

Funny I feel the opposite having and owning both, the Platona like Daytonas in general, to me has a much more well balanced feel and fits the wrist nicer

I agree with Tom here. I tried both at a Vancouver AD last month and the Platona, although heavier, is more comfortable than the WG Sub on the wrist.

I actually found both to be comfy...unfortunately neither my wife nor my bank account agreed!
