For pure aesthetics it has to be the DD. This was designed to be a 'looker' whereas the sub, even in two-tone, is fundamentally a tool watch.

They're both equally aesthetically pleasing...each in their own way.
The TT to me is more of a sporty casual piece. So, it's all a question of what you want. |

Lol at the guy who posts a reply just to say say his watch is most pleasing...
Facepalm... Anyways, the TT sub would be my pick as far as aesthetics goes...much more interesting than the dd which is just too monochromatic amd boring to me |

I agree. I've had several yellow gold and platinum DD and strangely the bluesy appeals to me more. Maybe it's the nautical color scheme of blue, gold and SS.

Yes, I am serious with this question. However, the root of my question is two fold.
1) Would you wear the DD as a daily watch or only for special occasions? 2) Is $25K too much to spend on a watch if you only wear it on occasion? I understand that this can only be answered by the buyer . The TT blue sub has always been a looker for me. That is the watch to attracted me to Rolex 20 years ago. However, the DD is no doubt a looker but I personally would be afraid to wear it regularly. I would probably leave it in the box most of the time and wear my black dial 116610. The DD is too beautiful to leave in a box IMO. This would be my dilemma. I do think the TT Date Just II with champagne dial is a looker also. Maybe that is more up my ally. |

In answering the additional questions: 1. This all depends on the buyer (i.e., line of work, comfort level, social circle, etc.) Completely a personal choice. 2. Again, this all depends on the buyer and the buyer's financial situation. Regardless of whether the buyer can afford the watch, some may view it as too expensive if only worn on special occasions versus others who have no problem spending that type of money on a "special occasion" watch. There's not really an answer to any of your questions other than which one is more aesthetically pleasing...which for me (and I suspect most others) is the DD. |

DD by a mile
As far as the Sub, I'd either go all gold/white gold OR SS if I were you. |

DD ... It all depends on lifestyle, my father bought a 36mm DD in the 60's and wore it daily with the exceptions when he went to the beach or so... But he work on a suit every day. So again it depends on lifestyle.
