is there a Rolex Oyster Percision date .. known as the CASINO?
as title,
I saw a Precision Oyster (date) yesterday that the seller said was 1969 and was known as the casino due to the fact the date numbers rotated in colour between red and black (every other day etc) The oyster strap did have the old style side rivets on the links, likes you can get on the 60's style straps. I've googled it but can't see anything.. or I'm looking for the wrong watch? if there is such a watch, what is a price on them.. it was up at £1400 ..no box or papers. also needed a good polish.. looked like it needed a new dial (if you wanted to swap it as there was a blemish on the face) so i'd say it also needed a service, which could open up a can of worms if you need Rolex to do that!! thanks for any advice that gets posted ;) |

He's just referring to the "roulette" date wheel. Price seems way high, especially if it needs a new dial.

He came down under £1k id I wanted it.
Do you have a picture of what the roulette date wheel looks like. I think it was 1960 not 1969. Would that sound right? |

60 seems more likely to originally have it. The dial is likely a Swiss only dial if original, and makes finding an original replacement much harder. Price still seems a bit high, how's the bracelet?

A number of different models came with the roulette date wheel: you can even get modern replacements or repaints where the date alternates between one red date, then one black date, etc. I don't know if the 6694 came with this wheel, but I have seen many of them sold with it.

Oh yeah it had the oyster braclet which looked like my 1969 precision braclet with side lugs on the links.
