New 16710 - link short
I just took delivery of an F serial 16710 with box and papers. I opened the box and went to put it on and realized it's a hair too tight. I can just barely close the clasp. I looked to see if the clasp setting could be expanded, but it's on the widest setting already. I have a 7 1/4 inch wrist, never had an issue fitting a watch with all bracelet links. I'm pretty sure this piece had a link removed, but that was not part of the delivery package.
I'm very annoyed that I didn't confirm full bracelet prior to purchase. I'm going back to the seller today (Capetown) to see what they can do. Maybe send a spare link (at cost?). We'll see. Any advice from TRF? Other than the obvious... Confirm details! Worst part is, now I have to wait to get this resolved to wear the damn thing! -Dan |

I would think that they would be more than willing to get/give you the link.
Are they a brick and mortar store that you can visit ? Show them the watch doesn't fit and see what happens. Good Luck. I've only purchased one used watch and I'm going to keep that in mind, " all links " Congrats and good luck. Great reference

I had the same thing with an older 16570 I bought. It appeared that no original links were missing. I just needed an additional. Sizes might have changed over the years.

If they are a good seller they would most likeley comp you one. But that is out of goodwill.
Last year I bought a 16570 from an outfit names MontreSwiss NA in MO and same situation. I called my guy and he overnighted me a link. |

Buying used stuff is usually as-is.
Perhaps they will give you a link as good customer service. If not a new link is only 40 bucks..

A few links short, for sure. 7 1/4 is 2-3 links out I believe. Easy to count the links I suppose.
Larry, as usual, spot on. 40 bucks well spent but they may send you one for free given a 7 1/4 wrist should have been an easy fit even without full links. |

You're missing 2-3 links I guess. They are around 60-70USD a piece new.

Update: Capetown said they'd send me an extra link. They didn't say what they would charge and I didn't ask, so I'm hoping they just send it. We'll see.
