Realistic changes you would like to see to Rolex watches.

I was wondering what realistic changes people would like to see to modern Rolex watches. Realistic being defined as something you could see Rolex actually doing - based on changes they have made in the past. For example:

(Realistic) - Day-date 40 with a leather strap (36mm day-date available on strap)
(unrealistic) - Day-date 40 in stainless steel

Here are some other changes I would be interested to see:

1. A Datejust 39-40mm with proportionate bezel and jubilee option. I feel this is realistic because Rolex recently downsized the Day-date

2. A 36 or 39mm OP with date. 34mm has a date currently. This could create a nice entry point for people looking for a well priced/sized Rolex with a date.

3. Oysterflex bracelet available on MORE sports models!! (perhaps unrealistic?)

----------------------------

That's all I can think of for now! Any more contributions ?

I assume you mean Glide lock, like on the Submariner. Good suggestion. If you really want this its quite possible as the Sub bracelet would fit on the GMT! You just need to have a spare 2000$ to spend!

Take a look at the sub and trim back the lugs. Given they've pulled the DD2 back after a short production run I don't see this as impossible?

Make the hands longer on the Explorer and lume the 3/6/9

Would love to see a ceramic sub with thin legs!

I'd like this too.

I'll add.. better support for users that want to change straps, bracelets on their watches. Some nice aftermarket options, but why won't Rolex sell an extra bracelet to an owner instead of taking their old one? And at a reasonable price. Why not sell a watch with BOTH the metal bracelet and a leather strap?

Unrealistic:

- More realistic prices on PM models. Something closer to the actual cost of the PM itself. They'd sell a lot more this way. They have to discount them 20% to sell them and they depreciate faster showing that they are priced too high.

- SS SkyDweller.
- SS Day-Date... or even a TT.

In fairness Rolex PMs are priced quite reasonably when you look at them next to AP and PP, and you can usually get 20% plus off if you hunt around. The luxury/exclusivity premium will remain the priority over maximising PM sales.

I would love to see the return of the 200m Submariner and the 5513 case. A great size for a case and, let's be honest, no one dives to 1000 ft.

I agree with these especially number 1 (fluted bezel please) and since we're dreaming... how about the return of the oysterquartz!

This and really dreaming, but perhaps a date too. The Tudor has one.

1- A completely new stainless steel sport model- surprise me
2- A thinner Milgauss in a 40mm size.
3- Support for interchangeability of all new Bezel inserts for the gmt2-C.
4- A Jacque Cousteau tribute Seadweller, again in a 40mm size.

I could keep going on, but these four are a good start...

1) Better finishing of movements and display back to show them off
2) Movements in pm versions to be better finished or upgraded in some way e.g. gold rotor to distinguish them from ss versions.
3) Quick release bracelets (see Vacheron) and straps (see Panerai)
4) Release of new annual calendar that is an homage of the vintage model.
5) Rose gold GMT
