just because they can , certainly doesn't mean they should.
just not to my taste , and certainly not at those prices, but to each their own.

That's one way to ruin a great watch.

Everyone is "not for me" but as your 8th piece, you'll take it.

But DLC PVD scratches, voids any fut5work at RSC and is like 2x the price. If you can't it's not. If you can you can.

Nope. This would not be my 8th piece or 80th.

Not sure why one would do that to a premium watch, weirdly modified and you still have to pay a bundle. It's only a rhetorical question, don't bother offering even the most elliptical rationale, I still won't get it.

Really expensive, I'm not sure I understand the market for a watch that is expensive as is, to be modified into something with no functionality for 50% more.

More expensive and looks worse in my opinion. But there will be someone willing to pay more to be different

The only reason to buy it, is so that you can show off with a 'more exclusive/expensive' watch. IMHO save up and buy a Platina Daytona and then at least you have the original, real thing and it is exclusive/under the radar...

Or be more exclusive and do this to a platona!

A similar reason I've heard is that this type of watch demonstrates that the wearer can afford to take something of value and then pay even more to ruin it.

Although I personally don't see the appeal, I suppose it does help explain their existence.

i like the look of PVD/DLC watches but seeing as a sub costs £5k and the treatment costs a few thousand maximum, cant see how they can justify charging £15k

seems you are paying an extra £6-8k for the bracelet to be replaced with a NATO and PRO HUNTER to be written on the dial, would rather spend half their £15k asking price on a DLC sub with no other modifications
