Poll - A white gold FACE OFF. Cast your votes !!
Hey guys. I have been waiting on my AD to get back to me with trade-in values on my collection as I have been considering consolidating. The 116719BLRO has been the front runner. Mainly because the GMT function would be most useful for my everyday job. I think the BLRO is beautiful (but so are the rest of these stunners). Plan B would be to get the white gold submariner or the Day date 40 white gold silver stick motif dial (my favourite DD40 by far). In this case I would pick up a beater with a GMT function to wear at work while wearing the white gold piece on the weekends. Concerns have also been raised by the forum that a white gold piece would not be good everyday at work and I have taken this into consideration. Which would you choose and why? Pre-owned prices are not a consideration as I will be purchasing new from AD. Any idea which piece will keep value best if purchased with equivalent discount?
TLDR: Selling my collection for 1 of these 3. GMT function most useful for me at work but maybe I don't use at work because expensive watch and buy a beater for work. let the voting begin!! Josh |

I would keep the 11 6719 Aka Pepsi. But I will be honest with you I'm not much for trendsetting and really I'm not a fan of precious metal tool watches . It's just a way for Rolex to push people to buy something they would really want in stainless steel sorry if I have strong feelings to you PM guys

How does Rolex push people to buy something they want in SS by producing PM watches? Also, what strong feelings towards PM guys do you have? |

Pm watches
Well because they only produce a watch say in white gold if you're after say a Pepsi dial you can only get it in white gold they don't force you, but they sure give you limited choice . The last thing I want is to offend anyone by my views that's all they are, just my opinion anyway . If your into pm watches and they make you feel good wear with pride and always in good health

As the owner of a Smurf, I voted BLRO. If I didn't like my BLNR so much, I would have flipped that and got the BLRO. Instead, I flipped my TT SUB for the Smurf.
There are no wrong choices with those three.

They don't make a blro in ss is his point. Whereas Pepsi used to be ss.

Out of your choices I would go with the DD 40. If it were me, I would choose the blue Roman dial for the WG DD 40.

BLRO. If the DD40 were YG, it would make it a tougher choice but still BLRO.

I really don't care for white gold. It doesn't make sense to me..
But that being said I would get the DD II as that model only comes in precious metal so you don't have a choice. Get a Pepsi GMT for $5k and wear it to work. Then you have both styles sorted out. |

I voted BLRO...
I'm not into the smurf bleu!!! If the smurf had a sunburst bleu dial that would be another story and a nice pipe dream ... Aside from that I really do like the BLRO as a great all around watch!!! It's a stunner ... |

BLRO, but I'd have a hard time walking away from the Sub. Great dilemma to have!

My only reservation with white gold anything is that it looks like stainless. I have a huge white gold diamond bracelet I bought myself. First night I put it on my wife asks why would I get stainless steel. I buy things I like, but I don't want to confuse myself. With that said YG Sub....haha
I vote for BLRO. If I decide to go white gold someday I would like to find a BLRO. Good luck. |

BLRO!
Why would a WG watch not be good for every day at work? I don't have any, so I'm curious. |
