Petrol or Gas is cheap.

All these examples do NOT imply that petrol is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are .. this makes one think and also puts things in perspective. You will be really shocked by the last one!

Think a gallon of petrol is expensive? now in UK around $10 a US
gallon and Diesel around $12 a US gallon.

Diet Coke 16oz £1.29 ........... £10.32 per gallon
Lipton Ice Tea 16oz £1.19 ......... £9.52 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16oz £1.25 ............ £10.00 per gallon
Car Brake Fluid 12oz £3.15 ............ £33.60 per gallon
Vick's Nasal spray 6oz £8.35 .......... £178.13 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4oz £3.85 ............ £123.20 per gallon
Tippex fluid 7oz £1.39 .................. £5.42 per gallon

And this is the REAL CON...

Evian water 9oz £1.49 .............. £21.19 per gallon!

£21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source. (Evian spelt backward is Naive.)

You don't even want to compare it with perfume or after shave.

Ever wonder why your computer printers are so very cheap to buy?

So they have you hooked on that coloured stuff called ink, someone calculated the cost of the ink at: £5,200 or $10,387 a gallon!!!

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on Evian Water or Tippex or Pepto Bismol or Nyquil or god forbid, bloody Printer Ink!.

Just a little humour to help ease the pain of your next trip to the petrol pump... although filling up is still expensive especially the UK.!

Your point is true, but the numbers a bit inflated. You don't buy gallons of water in 9 oz. increments. You but it in a gallon. The smaller increment sizes pay a premium price, a price that decreases substantially as you guy up. For instance, in a convenience store a 16 oz. cold Coke will cost you $1.29 or more but a 2 liter bottle will be $0.99.
