it is bolted ,,, like in the frist tough bracelets ,,, others work with pin, spingbars or screws ,,, if the bolts are holding the bracele together in this modern version or if they are only for decoration ,,, i dont know. the first rolex submariners had rivet bracelets and (my guess) made them famous

No. It's just that the sides of the bracelet links are riveted to the main pieces. Generally I think riveted bracelet links are less solid and hence less heavy - at least compared to standard, modern Rolex (and Tudor I guess) bracelets.

Yes. Comes with a fabric strap as well. Bronze touching the skin is generally not a good thing. Leaves green marks as the case gets patina. But I do like that Tudor bronze color pvd coated the SS case back so it blends in better than the silver would. Great detail IMHO.

Agree on the endlinks on the pvd model. Which is crazy because it looked so good on the One watch auction piece in SS. So much so that I have a ranger bracelet that I am picking up next week for my BB.

as for the new BBB, i miss the tudor rose and curved text. i think it's a big mistake to drop those two elements, which added a bit of fun to an otherwise austere design. :-(

everything Tudor just looks cheap to me compared to Rolex. I don't know if I can get past that for the money they are asking I would rather just save for a Rolex every time I have considered a Tudor. These new "in house" Tudor watches are not cheap

That riveted Black Bay Black looks awesome, although I'm also not exactly sure how that bracelet system will work.

As for the PVD model, looks damn good in photos (on strap), but it got me wondering: doesn't pvd scratch to leave a white line (because of the steel underneath)? It isn't very much like Rolex - or Tudor - to make a watch susceptible to that kind of wear. Somewhat in the same logic of not applying a rhodium bath to white gold models, but striving to develop a gold alloy which doesn't require the regular maintenance.

yes, PVD will mark, but, how much will depend on the application process. if DLC (one of the best, so, i would assume tudor chose this route), it will be a pretty tough surface. afterwards, these are "tool" watches, so, a little bit of patina should, and will, look good.

I hear you, Cru, and agree that a diver doesn't mind a scar or two. But afaik these can't be remedied on a pvd watch (at least not perfectly), and that sounds like something Rolex wouldn't do. Just thinking out loud, as I really don't see it as a big issue either.

I have a customized PVD GMT Master (titanblack did it for me)... the DLC is prettty tough ,,, on the metal bracelet it scraches where the links touch ,,, but i wear it with a Nato strap and not with the bracelet.

Would I do it again? No. Should I have listened to the Forum before doing it? Yes. I dont wear it as often as I thought I would, but when i do I am happy and a like it. Afterall it is kind of cool.
