Another "Help me decide thread"
Sorry if you guys are tired of seeing these, then again, I guess that's why we all signed up.
The current line up is a 116613LB, 116710LN, 16710 will all three inserts, a Tudor BBBlue, and a Zenith Captain moon as my dress piece which is rarely worn. I should be content with what I have, but I still have the itch. On the list for a new Daytona, so when I get that call, that will be added. In the meantime, I'm debating between a black dial Explorer 2, a 116610LN, or maybe a 16610LV. They all sing to me and wish I had won the lottery to pick them all up. I like the way the DJ2 look, but feel it may be just a bit too dressy for me. Anything I would be getting would be pre-loved. What are your thoughts? What would you do in my shoes? Maybe I should forget the itch with a nice tropical vacation. |

Seems like you got a few divers, a few GMTs and a dress watch. If you add a SubC or a SubLV, you will be adding another diver. You might want to add a dress/sport piece to your collection.
A DJ2 is quite dressy but also quite sporty as well. It all comes down to what bezel you choose. The fluted WG is more on the dressier side. The smooth bezel is more sporty. My fav DJ2 is the smooth bezel with blue stick dial. I had the fluted, a bit too dressy. |

there is no lvc.
id go with a LVC however if you had that as an option. prices have stabilized. otherwise if you want a black ceramic sub id go with the 114060.

116610 all the way, you can't go wrong with a classic sub

I would go with the datejust ii, it's sporty as well as dressy. But from your three choices the 116610LN would be better imho. It's more classic and tame than the hulk imho.

Out of your choices....would be the Explorer II or LVc.....just IMO. If I had to pick, probably the Explorer for the GMT complication.

What would you do in my shoes? .....................
I would sit tight and wait for Daytona-C 116500 to be released. You have plenty of beautiful other pieces to enjoy for the time being! Patience my friend. |

I think polar explorer (I know u didn't list this) or I agree to hold off. You've got GMTs covered nicely, you have a beautiful TT sub, and you're awaiting a Daytona. Kermit would compete for wrist time w the 116613 (both colored subs), and the 116610 is too similar to your ceramic GMT and bluesy. You may want to add a white dial to your collection? Or else just hold off for now
