Tudor Black Bay Black owners. What age are you?

Hi, really thinking about one of these great watches for my collection. What age are you if you have one of these and what else do you have in your collection?

I have an SD4K, SMP Moon, PO, Tudor Ranger at present and a Doxa 300 on order plus a new Ranger.

I'm 45 and wonder if I should be aspiring to something more classic or something that could be considered a grail watch in the eyes of many.
I've tried on the BBB and really love it but have divers with another coming. Should I look at a 50 Fathoms, would it be more befitting of my age etc or am I just talking nonsense and a little vain or even lack self confidence 😁

Dies anyone else else think like this? Any advice or comments are welcome. Thanks.

Hey there, I definitely think you're overthinking it. It's a wonderful watch and fits in perfectly in any collection or as your one and only. Go for it. Hopefully you love yours as much as I do
To answer your question, I'm 34 and have the following in the rotation:
DSSD
DJII
Panerai 312
BBB
G-Shock GW3000

Thanks for your reply. I really like the BBB. In my eyes better than the SubC no date which I was eyeing up before the SD4K, just couldn't get on with the case. The Tudor I feel will become an everyday wearer which will sit well with bracelet or strap.

You don't be disappointed. Mine gets a tonne of wrist time on the supplied fabric Nato style strap. It's incredibly comfortable and IMO looks fantastic in that setup. Enjoy!

I don't think age has much to do with it. I'm a bit younger than you and want a BBB and an orange bezel PO. Altho if you were thinking of selling a few SS pieces and getting a PM Rolex than I would say that is the right and proper thing to do with a little bit of bloomin' luck, so get thee to the AD on time!

I own the BB black bezel and red bezel. I'm only 29. Honestly, buy it if it makes you happy or if you really like the watch. Age has nothing to do with it. Good luck!

Age is a number and you like what you like. If you want the Black Bay then get the Black Bay, it's a great watch no matter which one you choose. BTW I'm slightly older than you and enjoy wearing mine.

I think buy the watches you love. I'm 35 and plan on buying a BB very soon. I think you could keep a BB for the rest of your life, and wear it when you are very old and it would still look great!

All of you, thanks for your comments. Maybe I was having a moment. I've flipped many watches in my life and was planning on building a collection of keepers. The SD4K and moonwatch I love and will keep for ever, hopefully. The 50th anniversary Doxa sub I will receive later on this year will be a novelty as I've always fancied a Doxa with an orange face.
The Explorer when released will also be one I've been waiting for and passed on to one of my girls for sure but will be a keeper in my mind until then.
The thing is I want to build a collection of keepers and was maybe thinking that I have too many divers but it's what got me crazy about watches.
I guess I should just get on with it and purchase the BBB.

Hi, I'm 20 years old and have a black bay blue. I have been really into watches from a young age. Personally out of my watches it's one of my favourites. I put it behind my BLNR, however it's a truly fantastic watch. To me it's a watch which doesn't draw attention, and you won't get many looking at it with envy, but it's for yourself, and you know you have a truly fantastic piece.

I have no regrets purchasing mine. Is it a grail piece? Depends on the person, but if you like the piece then I wouldn't worry about anything else

In my 50's. I don't think age has anything to do with the viability of the BB as a great selection as sports watch. The watch intrinsically stands on its own.

I like your style. Have a Pelagos, am about to get into my third BB (the black) and would love to add a Nomos someday (probably a Weltzeit).

I had an Orion date weib as my first one. Then I got the metro. Never wore the Orion again. Sold it for what I paid for it to partially fund my BBN. One of the only Indy watch makers that is left family owned. And Merlin and his dad are great people.
